Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 16, 2026

Paz Dermatology ("Paz Dermatology," "we," "us" or "our") operates the website at https://www.pazderm.com (the "website"). This policy explains what information we collect through the website, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the website, you agree to the practices described here.

A note on medical information

This website is an informational resource. The personal information it collects is limited to the contact details you choose to send us, such as through an appointment request, an email sign-up or an event RSVP, and the website usage and device information described below.

Your medical records and other health information created in the course of your care are handled separately, through our practice’s clinical systems, and are protected by federal and California health privacy laws, including HIPAA. This website policy does not govern that information. Our Notice of Privacy Practices explains how we use and protect your health information and your rights as a patient.

Please don’t include detailed medical information in a website form. If you have a question about your care, call either office.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request an appointment, sign up for emails, RSVP to an event or contact us, we collect what you enter, such as your name, email address, phone number, preferred office and message.

Usage and device information. When you visit, we automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit.

Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies, tags and similar technologies to run the website, remember your choices, keep it secure, understand how it’s used and measure our advertising. Cookies that aren’t essential load only after you agree to them in our cookie banner. The website works fully without them.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to appointment requests and questions
  • Send the emails you signed up for, which you can unsubscribe from at any time
  • Confirm event RSVPs
  • Run, maintain and improve the website
  • Understand how visitors find and use the website
  • Measure the performance of our advertising
  • Detect, prevent and address technical and security problems
  • Comply with our legal obligations

Analytics and advertising technologies

We use analytics and advertising technologies on this website, including analytics services such as Google Analytics, and pixels, tags and conversion tools from advertising platforms such as Google (including Google Ads and YouTube), Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Microsoft (Bing), TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Snapchat. These technologies can collect information about your device and your activity on the website, including the pages you view, and share it with the companies that provide them, which use it under their own privacy policies.

We use them to understand how visitors find and use the website, to measure our marketing, and to reach people who may be interested in our services on other platforms.

Under California and other state privacy laws, this use may count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell your personal information for money.

These technologies load only after you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the Your Privacy Choices link at the bottom of every page, and we honor the Global Privacy Control, described below.

Our website does not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals, which have no agreed standard. It does honor the Global Privacy Control.

How we share your information

Service providers. We share information with companies that help us run the website and our practice, such as website hosting, form handling, email delivery, analytics, call tracking and scheduling. They may use it only to provide those services to us.

Analytics and advertising platforms. As described above, and only after you agree to those cookies.

Legal reasons. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our patients, the public or the website.

Your right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information

You have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information, as those terms are defined under California law. We process opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC), in a frictionless manner: when your browser sends one, we treat it as a valid request to opt out and do not sell or share your personal information for that browser or device, with no further action required from you. To send such a signal, use a browser or browser extension that supports the Global Privacy Control (see globalprivacycontrol.org). You may also opt out by using the Your Privacy Choices link in our footer, by emailing support@pazderm.com or by calling either office.

California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you may have these rights regarding your personal information:

  • To know what personal information we collect, use and disclose
  • To request that we delete your personal information
  • To correct inaccurate personal information
  • To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
  • To limit the use of your sensitive personal information
  • Not to be discriminated against for using these rights

To make a request, email support@pazderm.com, call either office or send a message through our contact form. We may need to confirm your identity before we respond. You may also have an authorized agent make a request for you.

Privacy rights in other states

If you live in another state with a consumer privacy law, you may have similar rights, including to access, correct and delete your personal information and to opt out of targeted advertising. Contact us to use them. You can opt out of targeted advertising at any time through the Your Privacy Choices link.

How long we keep information, and how we protect it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, to meet our legal obligations and to resolve disputes. Appointment requests submitted through the website are encrypted when stored and kept only as long as needed to handle your request.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. No method of sending or storing information over the internet is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

We care for patients of all ages, but this website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them online. A parent or guardian can request an appointment or contact us on a child’s behalf. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through the website, contact us and we will delete it.

The website links to sites we don’t operate. We aren’t responsible for their content or privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the new version here and change the effective date at the top.
